Amanda Kloots, the wife of the late Broadway actor Nick Cordero, opened on Instagram a month after the death of her husband. Kloots admits it has been hard to cope with Cordero̵7;s death and was exciting in a series of Instagram posts.
“I literally felt like it didn’t work either,” she admitted. She said she is sometimes “in a fog” and feels like she does not know what she is doing or saying. “Thank God for my brother and sister-in-law because they saved me and Elvis,” she said.

She expressed that she was “beyond the surreal and horrible” when she received the ashes of her late husband. However, there was a sense of light and optimism in Kloots. “A good friend of mine said some nice tips: ‘look at it as you have it with you now,'” said Kloots, “which is a really nice way to look at it.” She went on to give advice to fans and others on what they can do to help friends and family when they are sad.
“Even people who just throw a text saying, ‘thinking about you’ or ‘I love you’ or ‘you are not alone’ can be helpful,” she said.
Last week she posted a picture of herself and Cordero to mark the one-month anniversary of his death. “Dear Nick, a month has passed since you left,” she wrote. “I would like to be able to say that it has become easier, but with each passing day I miss it more and more. I wish to see you, to hold you, to kiss you, to speak, to hear your voice, to “I embrace you, I see you with Elvis. Your great presence in our lives is missing every second and every day. I love you forever and ever.”
She also posted a photo of her son Elvis with the caption, “He is cheating on his father.”
Cordero died in July after complications with COVID-19. The actor received a Tony nomination for his role in Bullets Above Broadway and appeared in productions of Waitress, A Bronx Tale and Medieval Rock. He also appeared as Victor Lugo in the CBS Blue Bloods drama and directed by Zach Braff Going in Style. Kloots chronicles his medical journey on social media.
