Syracuse, NY – Two other Onondaga County residents have died from coronavirus, bringing the county pandemic death toll to 203.
The county reported that the residents were men, one in the 80s and the other in the 90s, both with basic health conditions.
The county also reported 18 new positive cases among the 3,628 test scores received as of Tuesday. Authorities were unable to pinpoint the source of 11 of these cases. Four cases were home contacts of previously confirmed cases, two cases were travel-related (Pennsylvania), and one case was from an elderly nursing institution. In all, there have been 3,480 positive cases in Onondaga County since the outbreak of the pandemic.
Sixteen people were hospitalized for coronavirus today, unchanged from Tuesday. Three of them are in critical condition.
The county is monitoring 118 active cases of coronavirus, 11 since Tuesday.
