When Hawkeye appears as a playable character in Marvel’s Avengers from Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics, it seems the character can wear hearing aids, as he does in comics. During yesterday’s broadcast of the Avengers War Table, Hawkeye was revealed as a movable person who came into play after the start. In addition to a teasing trailer, numerous pieces of concept art were discovered. An image of the character appears to have Hawkeye wearing a pair of hearing aids, though it is not entirely clear from the image. ComicBook.com contacted Crystal Dynamics for confirmation and received the following response:
“While this is our unique take on Clint Barton̵7;s Hawkeye, his character and storyline is absolutely inspired by some of Hawkeye’s most popular moments in comics. We look forward to providing more information on our Clint Barton Hawkeye version . “
It will be interesting to see if Crystal Dynamics plans to include this aspect of Hawkeye history in the game! The character lost his hearing after meeting a villain during Matt Fraction and David Aja running into Hawkeye’s solo comic. It is impossible to say for sure if this aspect will be included in the game, but apparently the DLC referring to the other elements of Aja Faction and running, seems to be a special opportunity!
Crystal Dynamics has shown a lot of interest in doing Marvel’s Avengers a comprehensive game. The title will offer multiple interfaces for low-visibility players, as well as accessible controls. Finally, the game is also introducing a new inhuman character named Cerise, who happens to be in a wheelchair. To make the character moves authentic, the team also brought access specialist Cherry Thompson to ensure motion capture for Cerise. Given the effort Crystal Dynamics seems to be making by making the game more representative of the real world, it seems that Clint being dull would fit in well with the game the developer is building.
Marvel’s Avengers will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Microsoft Windows and Google Stadia. You can view all of our previous coverage of Marvel’s Avengers mu ketu.
