Chicago Cubs star Anthony Rizzo dealt with the Major League Baseball rain delay protocol amid the coronavirus pandemic after his game Thursday night was postponed due to bad weather.
Rizzo and Cubs decided to play Reds Cincinnati when the rain forced the game to be postponed. However, the first baseman seemed to be upset with the policies of social distancing as he and his teammates waited around if the game would be postponed.

“Player safety? @Mlb let ‘s sit for 8 plus hours inside the club house. I’m sure I can find it somewhere in the 113 page player safety protocol,”; tweeted Rizzo.
Rizzo is a cancer survivor and has taken the necessary measures to prevent himself from getting the coronavirus.

Concerns about players getting the disease have grown since some Miami Marlins players and staff contracted the virus. The spread to the Marlins club forced the MLB to enter their pending season.

The Marlins were playing Phillies Philadelphia last weekend when the positive tests were announced. Earlier Thursday, Phillies announced that two staff had tested positive for the virus. Their series against the Toronto Blue Jays was subsequently postponed.
