MADISON, Wis. – In a Facebook post Friday, Dane County Supervisor called on Madison and Dane County Public Health to add transparency to Epic’s reopening plan for its employees.
Dane County Supervisor for County 19 Teran Peterson issued a statement asking the PHMDC to answer some questions, including releasing data on how many Epic employees have arrived at Public Health with concerns about the plan; is PHMDC involved in reopening planning; and how the plan will affect Dane County’s ability to flatten the curve.
“While Epic is excluded from some aspects of EO # 8 under Section 6, they are required to facilitate remote work to the greatest extent possible under Section 4.f.”, writes Peterson, “Many employees are uncomfortable. to return to office and have addressed board members and may have expressed their concerns to the PHMDC as well. “
The health software company announced earlier this week that it will require its 9,000 plus employees to return to work in person on its Verona campus by September 21st.
