Derrius Guice’s comeback, officially released by Washington on Saturday, is officially out of the NFL. At least for now. Maybe for good.
Guice cleared the removals, making that in the second round 2018 chooses a free agent.
Washington released Guice after he was arrested on multiple charges of domestic violence, including a bad drowning circuit.
Guice’s lawyer has issued a statement claiming the allegations are false, that police did not request any statement from Guice, that Washington released him without conducting any investigation whatsoever.
“Derrius will defend these allegations in court,” said attorney Peter Greenspun, “where a full verification of the allegations will be made, in the contract for local law enforcement actions and the Washington Football Team who assumed the worst,” directly opposing any sense of correctness and due process ”.
Any team that signs Guice will risk seeing him placed on the Commissioner’s Exclusion list, demanding that the team pay him while the charges are settled. For this reason, there is a good chance Guice will not be in the NFL until the criminal case is over and the NFL imposes discipline, if any, on him.
