Xbox chief Phil Spencer appeared in Gary Whitta’s Animal speech show show on Wednesday evening after the announcement of Halo Infinitedelayed. He spoke little about the decision to delay the match on the show, which according to him was “his call to do”.
halo and endless will no longer be released in November along with Microsoft’s next-generation keyboard, the Xbox Series X. A new release date was not given immediately – only now it is coming to 2021. He said the decision will not affect other launch plans, however.
Spencer said Microsoft and 343 Industries started talking about the “end of last week”; decision after going through several options – like shipping parts of the game separately. Ultimately, though, Spencer said it just wasn’t the right fit for a game like Halo Infinite; a delay was the most appropriate decision.
Microsoft announced Halo Infinitedelays on Tuesday. According to the fact, the announcement was cited for many factors for the delay, such as “ongoing COVID-related impacts”. Criticism had followed the original game trailer; many players called it quite outdated or not “next genre”.
