The stamps were cleared when A’s outfield Ramón Laureano seemed to hear something that Houston Astros kick coach Alex Cintrón said was coming out of the visitors’ box during A’s 7-2 win on Sunday.
Laureano was hit from a field by Astros relaxer Humberto Castellanos at the bottom of the seventh set. When Laureano reached the first base, Cintrón said something to the cobbler. This is when madness followed.

Laureano and A Austin Allen striker were pulled out of the game, but no Astros member was thrown out.
A manager Bob Melvin said Laureano would never have gone through the Astro rupture if something extremely offensive was not said.
“I think the league will know who he is and that person should be suspended,” Melvin told reporters after the game. “Hopefully that’s the case, and nowadays without fans on the stands, and mothers everywhere, my guess is that they know who she is.”
Melvin was asked what Laureano said.
“I can not tell you that,” Melvin said.
Melvin wondered why Allen was pulled out and no one from the Astros was pulled out despite the incident that took place in front of the Houston carcass.
“I do not know how we ended up getting some guys out and it came out of their shoes and I do not understand, is how it worked,” Melvin said.
A’s first baseman, Matt Olson was on deck when it happened and rushed to defend Laureano. Matt Chapman joined him. Olson said he did not want it to be a situation when Laureano was against the entire Astros team.
“[Laureano] was hit a lot, I know it was a curb, but when he started coming down the line, we heard things were said to be not right for him, and maybe someone even told him to come to the locust, so I think he was eventually provoked a little bit, “Olson said.
Laureano was hit twice from the field on Sunday. The first happened earlier by Brandon Bailey in the bottom fifth. Bailey was traded from A to Astros in 2017 to Laureano.
Olson admitted that there were many conversations going back and forth, so he was not sure exactly what was said.
For now, Laureano and Allen were the only two who were pulled out of the game, but we will soon find out if there is further discipline for the others involved.[[[[RELATED: FanGraphs has almost guaranteed A blocking on offspring]
For reference, Los Angeles Dodgers quarterback Joe Kelly was suspended for eight games after throwing a fastball behind Astros’ Alex Bregman and another ball over Carlos Correa’s head on July 28th.
Melvin said while he did not speak to everyone immediately after the game, the club seemed to have the same opinion after causing Laureano to be provoked.
