A new email to Neil Young Archive members has announced that Facebook and Google logins will eventually be removed from the site. “Goodbye Facebook and Google buttons,” the email said. “We thank you very much for keeping with us during this process. We know it is not convenient, but we believe we will be better for it. ‘Quality whether you like it or not!’ “Scroll down for the full email.
The email also featured a Neil Young Archive article titled “NYA Days Away from Abandoning the Social Media Platform,” which says the NYA is paying nearly $ 20,000 to leave Facebook. “Facebook consciously allows untruths and lies in its political ads to circulate on the platform, while the worlds sow discord among users,”; the article reads. “Planting discord and chaos in our country through political misinformation is something we can not condemn. Simply put, Facebook is suffering with our choices.” Find the full statement below.
Earlier this month, Neil Young filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump’s presidential campaign for copyright infringement on the use of the “Rockin ‘” campaign in the “free world” and “Devil’s Way” at rallies and political events. June, Young shared a new song titled “Vacancy” from his long wait homegrown LP, which came out later that month.
