SAN FRANCISCO – General Group Pac-12 today approved the fall schedule just for the 2020 Football Conference, which features a list of 10 games and a number of features designed to provide maximum flexibility. Furthermore, the CEO Group approved competition start dates and pre-season practice policies for the season-only Conference on Men’s and Women’s Football, Women̵

Competition plans for each of these sports were determined after extensive consultation with the Pac-12 Medical Advisory Committee. The health and safety of our student athletes and those related to Pac-12 sports is our number one priority, and we are prepared to adjust plans if the health situation changes. In addition, the Conference previously announced that Pac-12 student-athletes who choose not to participate in cross-athletics during the next academic year due to safety concerns related to COVID-19 will continue to have their honorary scholarships from their university and will remain in good standing with their team.

“Since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis, we have been committed to prioritizing the health and safety of our student-athletes and all those associated with our athletic programs,” said Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott. “The program and plans approved today and the path to return to competition are subject to public health orders and will be taken in accordance with the health and wellness guidelines developed by our Pac-12 Medical Advisory Committee. Return program and plans to play provide maximum flexibility and the best opportunity to play all fall sports in an environment that prioritizes safety. At the same time, we will continue to appreciate the best science, data and advice available of public health officials as we make decisions and make any necessary adjustments. ”
