In the midst of the biggest restructuring taking place at AT&T WarnerMedia, owned by Warner Bros. Television Group is reprocessing its written and unwritten production operations, merging Warner Bros. Television and TV Warner Horizon Scriptted to create a new division. As part of the restructuring, the role of VP execution and general manager of Telepictures is being removed. Donna Redier Linsk, who had occupied that position, is leaving, says a source close to the situation variety.
The scripted units will be led by WBTV presidents Susan Rovner and Brett Paul, while Warner Bros. unpublished and alternative TV president Mike Darnell will continue to lead unscathed as president of Warner Bros.
Rovner and Paul will continue to lead the newly combined WBTV, overseeing all written programming and reporting to WBTVG President Peter Roth; Rovner and Paul had previously directed both WBTV and Warner Horizon.
Clancy Collins White, most recently WPTV drama development VP execution, has been promoted to a newly created position, overseeing the entire updated written program, for the new WBTV division, Rovner reports.
Leigh London Redman, the recent VP execution of programming written on Warner Horizon TV, will lead the drama development and oversee the newly combined drama team. Adrienne Turner will continue to develop comedy development and oversee the comedy team as senior VP and head of comedy development at WBTV. Odetta Watkins and Maddy Horne will continue in their roles as executing vps of current programming in premium cable and networking departments, respectively, managing all the creative aspects of the studio written series.
Execute VP of Business Affairs Adam Glick, execute Production VP of Production Sue Palladino and Chief Executive Officer of Legal Affairs Jody Zucker will continue in their current roles and oversee the new combined teams at WBTV.
On the unbroken side, Brooke Karzen will continue to develop and program for Warner Horizon Unscribedted and Alternative TV, David McGuire will continue to lead current programming and also oversee development at Telepictures. Lisa Shannon and Dan Peirson will continue to co-lead development and programming at Shed Media.
Kevin Fortson, most recently executing production VP at Warner Horizon, and Matt Matzkin, most recently executing VP of Business Affairs at the company, will now take on new leadership roles in all of the undefeated, reporting to Darnell. Fortson is scheduled to oversee physical production, while Matzkin will oversee business affairs across TV, Telepictures and Shed Media, the undamaged Warner Horizon.
