Lovato and Garner are expected to appear as special guests, with Platt among the list of performers at the LGBTQ media protection organization ceremony, which will be broadcast live on July 30th.
The GLAAD Media Awards for 2020 are being distributed at a virtual ceremony on Thursday night.
Organized by comedians Fortune Feimster and Gina Yashere, the event combines the special New York and Los Angeles organizations of the LGBTQ media protection organization into a live-directed show. The virtual event will honor 175 nominees and 30 category winners in film, comics, games, TV and journalism in English and Spanish. For the first time ever, GLAAD will also unveil the winner of the first TV Fan Favorite Award voted by fans.
The GLAAD Media Awards for 2020 will also include performances by Ben Platt, Chloe x Halle and activist singer Shea Diamond.
Other stars who will appear during the ceremony include Demi Lovato, Jennifer Garner, Lilly Singh, Charli XCX, Kandi Burruss, Theo Germaine, August Getty, Gigi Gorgeous Getty & Nats Getty, Harvey Guillén and Darryl Stephens.
They join an already long list of previously confirmed friends, including Dolly Parton, Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, Lil Nas X, beavers and producers present, Dan Levy, Rachel Maddow, Raquel Willis, Olivia Wilde et al. The winners have already been announced on the GLAAD Twitter account. Previously announced honors for Taylor Swift, Ryan Murphy, Judith Light and Janet Mock will be awarded at a later date.
The live stream will be available to watch at 5pm PT / 8pm ET on GLAAD Facebook and YouTube accounts. A recorded version of the 31st annual ceremony will also air on the Logo on August 3rd.
