Activation has had a few weird stories with Switch. They support the platform, but so far, that support requires a lot of patience from Nintendo fans. The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy came to the Switch eventually, and the same goes for the Reignited Spyro Trilogy. Could the same thing happen with Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time? We are not 100% sure, but we have the slightest burst of hope.
Official website for Crash Bandicoot 4: About is the time that does not talk about Surface Impact, but when you dig deeper, a secret intrusion is hidden in the source code. In the ‘Platforms̵7; section of the site, the source code actually mentions Switch. If this was fully implemented, it would allow you to click on the drop-down menu on the website to select Switch as an option for a digital purchase.
Normally I would say that means nothing, but this exact kind of thing has appeared in the past with activation sites. Sometimes it really did tell about Switch releases, as was the case with the Crash and Spyro games mentioned above. It also happened with the title of a duty call, which obviously never came to the Switch.
Most likely this little resource is just the remnants of a template that web developers use when building a site, and they just left it there. That said, we certainly hope it’s an indication of something going down the road.
